OHTEK merch

The OHTEK powder paint brand from the TALATU paint and varnish brand contacted the LINII agency to develop branded merch.

The goal is gifts that not only work for brand loyalty, but also serve as useful items in everyday life. An important requirement was that the merch design be minimalistic and reflect the character of the brand.

The OHTEK team conducted an internal audience study. They analyzed their customers by age, interests and other characteristics to understand what gifts would be most relevant for them.

The idea of merch proposed by the LINII team is to demonstrate the properties of paints through everyday things, because OHTEK paints are functional.

The merch concept used terms from the paint industry: hiding power, UV resistance, tolerance to defects, delta E and other parameters. These words were played up in the design in such a way as to emphasize the quality and features of the products.

For example:

• A heat-resistant thermos symbolizes resistance to temperatures.
• A blanket that you can cover yourself with — the opacity of the paint.
• A phone case or suitcase made of durable material — tolerance to paint defects
• A panama hat or cap — resistance to ultraviolet radiation

The result is a set of aesthetically pleasing and useful items that are associated with the characteristics of OKHTEK products. Such merch helps to strengthen brand loyalty and leave a pleasant impression on customers.
