Blitz — A Name That Embodies the Energy of Life

In 2012, a pet food manufacturer approached us with a goal to create a brand of truly high-quality nutrition for dogs and cats—with no compromises whatsoever in ingredients, technology, or animal welfare. They didn't want just another "product line with a fancy name," but food they could confidently feed to their own pets.

We immediately knew this was "our" kind of project. Back then, and still to this day, there isn't a single person on our team without a pet—some have cats, others have dogs, and some have a whole pack. That's why the mission of creating quality food and promoting responsible pet ownership resonated with each of us on a personal level.

We were looking for a short word that would sound crisp, be easy to remember, and have potential for international use. This was no easy task: short words are rarely available for trademark registration, especially in saturated markets like pet food and supplies. We wanted the name to convey strength, speed, clarity, and brilliance—much like the movement and appearance of a healthy, happy, and well-cared-for animal.

And so, Blitz was born—a short, resonant, and energetic word that is instantly memorable. It carries a sense of power, precision, and speed, coupled with an association of German precision.

Over a decade has passed since then, and the Blitz brand continues to grow, strengthen its reputation, and expand its product range. Behind this name lies a rich history: tens of thousands of satisfied owners, healthy pets, and an entire philosophy of responsible animal nutrition.

For us, this project is more than just an example of successful naming. It's a story of how professional work, personal commitment, and a love for animals can all come together in a single word—Blitz.
