Marketplace brand development
Magnit, one of the leading Russian retailers, has developed the concept and visual design of the Magnit Market brand, a marketplace on the basis of KazanExpress the acquired online platform in November 2023. In addition retailer starts to rebrand KazanExpress, as a result of which the website, application, order pick-up points (POPs) and other elements of the marketplace infrastructure will operate in the same style under the Magnit Market brand.
The concept and visual design of the Magnit Market brand was developed together with the LINII branding agency.
The brand identity is based on the idea of movement and speed, which reflects one of the main advantages of Magnit Market: all products presented on the marketplace may be ordered with free delivery on next day and picking up at the Magnit store. Consumers may combine it with shopping and thus save time.
The Magnit Market logo uses a rich coral color, which refers to Magnit’s signature red color, but at the same time distinguishes the marketplace brand from other offline format brands.
A unique font performs the same task. Additional colors – yellow, white and graphite – together with coral create a recognizable combination that allows you to differentiate the brand from competitors.
The KazanExpress rebranding process will include several stages. Elements of Magnit Market’s corporate identity will appear in the design of the website and application. Then a new Magnit Market website will be launched, and it will also be possible to place an order on the marketplace in the Magnit application. All new pickup points will open in accordance with the new design. Elements of the brand’s corporate identity will also be used on the uniform of the pick-up point staff, in the design of internal services and the marketplace’s vehicle fleet. By the end of the year, Magnit Market will also launch a large-scale marketing campaign to promote the new brand among buyers and sellers.
